Really happy that more people in France get to see the film which traveled far and wide but has hardly been shown in the country where the crisis is actually happening. Tampere Film Festival

SIMA Festival

Nice one! Transit Zone is part of the Social Impact Media Awards Festival in Cambodia. The film will be shown alongside two other docs one of which is 'Future My Love' by Maja Borg another Scotland based filmmaker. More info about the screening here.

Cinemaiubit International Student Film Festival

DokumentART - European Film Festival for Documentaries

The German premiere of Transit Zone was at the DokumentART Festival in East Germany! The film was in competition among a selection of quality documentaries from all over Europe. Molodist - Kyiv International Film Festival

Document - International Human Rights Film Festival

Social Justice Film Festival

Fantastic! Transit Zone had its US premiere at the Social Justice Film Festival in Seattle and even won the Gold Jury Price in the short film category. Student International Film Festival (STIFF)

International Human Rights Film Festival Albania

Message to Man International Film Festival

We are glad the film made it all the way to Russia where it was part of the Message to Man Film Festival which has a focus on cinematic expression featuring more than 200 films! Edinburgh International Film Festival

It was really an honour for Transit Zone to be shown at the Edinburgh International Filmfestival this year! It was screened as part of 'Out of Bounds: Student Shorts' with films by emerging film talents from all over the UK. For more info you can click here.

 

Transit Zone Photo Exhibition by Iman Tajik and Frederik Subei

Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)

We are very proud that Transit Zone had a dedicated photo exhibition at the prestigeous Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Glasgow! Iman Tajik will be exhibiting his work from Calais. A selection of his atmospheric images were shown on two floors at GOMA alongside video works by film director Frederik Subei. Sheffield Doc/Fest

We are very happy that Transit Zone had been selected for Sheffield Doc/Fest, one of the biggest and best documentary film festivals in the world! The film was nominated for an award in the Student Doc category. Transit Zone was screened along the feature 'Freightened - The Real Price of Shipping'. More details can be found at this link. XpoNorth

at Eden Court

As part of Screen Academy Scotland Transit Zone was shown at the XpoNorth. It is the most important festival in the north of Scotland for the creative industries. The film received some good feedback and director Frederik Subei was also interviewed by XpoNorth Live which you can watch here.




Visions du Reel Film Festival

Transit Zone is proud to have had its International Premiere at the Visions du Reel Film Festival in Switzerland. The film even received a Jury Special Mention in the Premier Pas category where it was shown in competition! It was a truly fantastic experience to be part of the festival.   Glasgow Short Film Festival

It was amazing to have the Scottish premiere of the film at the GSFF! The film was very well receveived and shown to a sold-out house as part of 'Scottish Competition 2: Where Are We Now?' along some fabulous other films. The selection of Transit Zone has also been featured at the Screen Academy website.

London Short Film Festival
